I've been here many times & consistency is the key. The burgers are delicious and made to order - it's prepared the way you like it, and your not made to feel like it's an inconvenience if there is something special you want on the burger. The burgers are the perfect size - not to huge that you can't hold them and eat them. My personal fave is the Euro Style with Onion Rings - crunchy and hot. It's great to sit outside - but on a cold afternoon the inside dining area is cozy and warm - and maybe the beer helps. Service is friendly and attentive- nothing overboard - your food arrives hot and ready to eat. Give it a try sometime- oh and they have delicious hotdogs too.
Local burger/beer joint that was hopping on our visit last month. They have indoor and covered patio dining areas, as well as a cool, full bar. We ordered several burgers and shared some fries. The service and food were good, and the ambiance hip and casual. It could get loud when it's as full as it was on our visit, and the line to order got a little long. I'd definitely return as the burgers were quite tasty and the people watching scene was fun! SIDE NOTE: Being from Southern California, we were surprised to see all of the cactus thriving in the planter areas around the restaurant...I would have thought it would be too cold, but they are obviously loving it and they added to the ambiance of the property.
I had some time to kill before heading to State Farm Arena for an Atlanta Hawks game. I figured I should eat because food at the game would most definitely be twice the price. I was craving burgers and Grindhouse came up at the top of the list on Yelp. It looks like they have several locations in the Atlanta area so I assume the experience at each one would be largely the same. I came in around 3PM on a Sunday afternoon so they weren't too busy. It did seem like there were a lot of takeout orders though. Service was friendly and helpful. I placed my order and they gave me a number to take to my table. I'm not much of a drinker, but it's cool that they have a full-service bar for those that wish to partake. I'm usually overwhelmed by "Make Your Own" type things so I ordered a Grindhouse Style and a Dixie Style. I also got Cheesy Poofs, Sweet Potato Fries, and Onion Rings as my sides. I got a Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake to wash it all down. The milkshake came out pretty fast. It tastes exactly how you'd expect. It's Cinnamon Toast Crunch in shake form; that is to say it was delicious. My food came out pretty quickly; probably within 10 minutes give or take. The cheesy poofs came out a few minutes before the burger/fries/rings. The poofs are fried pimento cheese served with a side of sweet chili sauce. They're exactly what they sound like. It's fried cheese, I was a fan. The outside was nice and crispy and the pimento cheese was melty and had a little tangy, peppery taste to it. I could've done without the sweet chili sauce just because I felt like it didn't pair too well with the cheese balls. Then the burgers/fries/rings came out. Everything was solid. The sweet potato fries and onion rings didn't stand out at all, but in a good way. They were good and they hit the spot. The Dixie burger had pimento cheese, fried green tomato, slaw, and chipotle ranch. I liked this one a lot. The flavors of each thing came together well without doing too much. The Grindhouse burger was more of a traditional burger. Lettuce, tomato, cheese, caramelized onions, and Grindhouse sauce. I think I prefer raw onions on my burger as I like the texture better, but this was still a good burger. I couldn't really place what kind of sauce the Grindhouse sauce is like, but it was good. Overall I preferred the Dixie. Both burgers were cooked well (that's medium, but they can do well or well done if you request) and they were juicy and flavorful. The buns were solid and my experience here was great. Prices are a little steep, but I guess they're in line with a more elevated burger spot like this one. If I were local, I'd come back.
A chain of a few locations for fast food with a restaurant feel. Wait in line to order before being seated or you can go directly to the bar if there is a seat available. Food comes fast and is fresh and hot. Love that they offer turkey and veggie burger options. The Euro is my go to for mushrooms and cheese as a junior (meaning a single Pattie). The nice treat are the milkshakes that come regular or boozie (with alcohol). The other treat are for those that want both fries and onion rings then the frings are a must have. Parking is limited in the lot so street parking is the next option.
Decided to stop and get a quick bite at Grindhouse killer burgers and I'm glad I did! When you walk in your greeted very warmly by the host, who happens to also be taking orders the place is well lit with the wraparound bar their seating inside and outside on the patio the patio is covered, which makes it even better for those rainy days . Now I've been to this location before and never had any issues today. I was told that there was a new cooking back so we actually ended up waiting about 42 minutes for our order. However, that is not the usual turnaround time for this location. I do not eat beef so it's always great to go to a place that has alternative options. I got a veggie burger, which is their version of a black bean burger and it was awesome as my side I had brussels sprouts with Thai chili sauce drizzled on top and they were absolutely amazing. I would go back just for the brussels sprouts. Just wanted to do a quick review of this place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat and you don't have a lot of time they're very friendly fast and very good! Make sure you get the brussels sprouts . 8/10
This is one of those places that highlights just how much Atlanta has to offer. While a chain, I have lived in the ATL area for 11 years, and until a week ago I had never heard of this place. "Live fast. Eat well." Well I did Grindhouse! It was worth every dollar spent, and even after braving I-20 traffic to drive an hour back home, and writing this review 3 hours later I am still full, but not stuffed, and I am perfectly okay with that. I did not know what to expect prior to coming. I briefly glanced at the menu and mainly looked at the pictures, because you know, that's what people do, and in doing so I said, dang ok, that looks good, that looks good, wait for it, yes that, that looks good as well. Honestly I wanted to order the entire menu before even coming here. The parking wasn't bad. I got free street parking because that is where my GPS told me to go, but they do offer parking as well. I saw a lot of Ubereats and Doordash people coming and going. This was a treat from my dad and we were trying to keep a budget of around $70. With a tip it ended up being right at $77. He got a build your own burger. Beef, double, meaning two 1/4 lb patties where the junior is just one, and some toppings, one of them being the diablo sauce, which as a person who is from Louisiana and knows heat, he said he got a bite with a good kick to it. So for my spicy fans out there, try it out. As for myself I ended up getting two juniors. One Hillbilly style and the other Cowboy style. Note: You can only make two modifications to the burger styles. I decided to get the Cowboy style with pepper jack. Ladies and gentlemen. Go. Get you a burger. Rare burgers are not an option, and well done on request only, and they honored my request and it was well done to my satisfaction. The flavors hit. Each bite I could taste a little bit of this, a little bit of that. I was anything but disappointed, which I feel like I say a lot in my reviews, but hey, if the shoe fits right. Legit craving another burger as I am writing this. One thing I found out is the quality of the meat, and yes I am copying this directly from the website: "proprietary blend of certified angus chuck and brisket cuts of beef." I mean come on, with a burger like that, how can you go wrong! For our sides we have the onion rings. My dad really liked them. Said they had the flavor of sonic onion rings which I really didn't pick up on much myself, and the crispiness that sonic onion rings evidently used to have. They weren't bad though, I just didn't think they were anything spectacular. The starter sweet potato kettle chips though. By far the best appetizer I have had in a long time. When I tell you I know someone is in the back thinly cutting some whole sweet potatoes, because they were huge, and they tasted so good with the bleu cheese dip. Killer burgers is killing it. Oh yes, I will be back! Side note: They have a bar and they have interior and exterior seating. One thing about the bar is that you can skip the line at the front, but depending on the time of day there may be a line at the bar. There wasn't when I went, but there were a good amount of people for 2 p.m. on a Thursday, but between the pitcher on tap, appetizer, and the burgers, we got everything under 10 minutes, if even.
This place was so good - I was honestly surprised. The burger was delicious and so were the onion rings. Their house sauce was a standout for me. The staff was extremely nice and helpful when I had questions. Very cute vibes with a nice outdoor patio area as well.
Grindhouse Killer Burgers is our favorite burger place in Atlanta and maybe a hot contender for our favorite spot ever. The sweet potato fries are also up there! The veggie burger is a great option for vegans and overall Grindhouse is FANTASTIC!
It's an Atlanta chain and a great one at that. They have vegetarian and glutten free options too. Their burgers are always finger licking good. Only caveat for this location, parking can be limited and a nuisance at times. But all in all, a great place for a quick bite or catch-up w/ friends & fam.
To be honest, we picked Grindhouse Killer Burger because of pictures of the sweet potato fries and reviews of course LOL. We stopped in on an early afternoon. You order and pay at the register then you pick where to sit. We were seated and shortly after our food was delivered. We both chose to build our own burgers. They were juicy and flavorful. The only thing I'd note is that you should order your bacon well done if you like it that way. We were surprised by the regular fries because we assumed they'd be similar to the sweet potato fries but they were still good. The sweet potato fries were definitely the star as well as the Brussels sprouts. Some of the best Brussels I've ever had! The wait staff was kind and attentive and the restaurant was large with tvs so that the folks into sports can watch while eating. There is also a bar and outdoor seating. Good experience overall!
